The 3 Days Rwanda Wildlife Safari Holiday will take you to Akagera National Park, a home for wild mammals, the big five, and varieties of bird species. We will have a day game drive crossing the park as well as sightseeing the amazing animals along the way. After the savannah experience, we will drive to Nyungwe National Park, the only African mountain rainforest home to many species of chimpanzees, and colobus monkeys. The canopy walkway is a high suspension bridge with views over the valley surrounding the forest.

Detailed 3 Days Rwanda Wildlife Safari Holiday

Day 1: Transfer to Akagera National Park

After your early breakfast in your hotel, our guide-driver will be outside waiting to start the trip. He will give you a brief about the whole 3 Days Rwanda Wildlife Safari Holiday and the events of the day before we embark on a whole experience across the Akagera National Park.

After the briefing, you will drive to the park. We will have a day’s drive through the whole park from south to the north seeing the animals around.

The park is characterized by woodland, swamps, low mountains, and savannah. The varied terrain shelters wildlife including zebras, giraffes, elephants, lions, and hundreds of bird species, such as the rare shoebill stork.

The southern part of the park has a vast lake Ihema which is home to hippos and crocodiles. Have packed lunch from the lodge.

This game drive takes the whole day. With brakes to rest and continue. In the evening, will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight

Day 2 of 3 Days Rwanda Wildlife Safari Holiday: Boat Cruise and Transfer to Nyungwe National Park

This is a park located in Butare, the southern province of Rwanda. Wake up early in the morning have breakfast and drive to lake Ihema. We will have a boat cruise and after drive to Kigali-Nyungwe.

Along the way, we will pass to Nyanza King’s Palace for the traditional experience of the ancient Rwandan.

We will have lunch en route in Butare town a historical town, then continue to Nyungwe Forest in the afternoon. Check-in at your lodge and refreshen up before we embark on a community walk.

This community walk is around the park and this includes the cultural village in Gisakura. You will return to your lodge, have dinner, and overnight

Day 3: Chimpanzee Trekking

After early morning breakfast, your guide driver will pick you up. This is another important day of your trip.

Meet the guide and get the briefing about the chimpanzee tracking then drive to this small fragmented forest where the group of chimpanzees is located.

We will have three hours maximum trekking and being with the chimps and afterward, drive back to the hotel. You will refresh up wait for lunch and then check out.

You will drive back through Lake Kivu and have some pictures and a short boat ride and then proceed to Kigali at your hotel or proceed to the airport if you are to leave that very day to your home
